C3 Equalz Tangerine switches are a delightful addition to any mechanical keyboard enthusiast's collection, renowned for their exceptionally smooth linear typing experience. Crafted with precision and innovation, these switches offer a unique blend of low friction and consistent performance.

With a spring weight of 62g, the Tangerine switches provide a balanced actuation force, making them suitable for both typing and gaming scenarios. They are fully linear: there is no tactile bump and no click, so the keypress travels smoothly and uninterrupted from top to bottom. That, combined with the low-friction UHMWPE housings, is what gives the Tangerine its reputation and allows for swift and accurate inputs.

The Tangerine switches are designed with a vivid orange colour housing, evoking a sense of energy and vibrancy. This aesthetic touch adds flair to any keyboard build, making it visually appealing as well as a pleasure to type on.

In comparison to its counterpart, the C3 Equalz Tangerine 67g switches offer a slightly heavier actuation force, providing a firmer typing feel. While still maintaining the same smoothness, the 67g variant may cater more towards users who prefer a bit more resistance in their switches. Both versions are linear and retain the signature Tangerine smoothness, ensuring a premium typing experience regardless of the spring weight.

Whether you opt for the 62g or 67g variant, C3 Equalz Tangerine switches promise to elevate your typing experience with their impeccable design and performance, making them a top choice among mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.

Frequently asked questions

What do the C³ Equalz Tangerine Switches (62g) feel like?

Linear, so the keypress travels straight down with no bump and no click. It is the quietest of the three switch types and the usual choice for gaming, because there is nothing interrupting the stroke.

That makes the C³ Equalz Tangerine Switches (62g) a linear switch - if you have used a linear switch before and liked it, these will feel familiar.

They actuate at 62g, which counts as a heavy switch.

As a rough guide, under 45g is light and fast but easier to press by accident, 45-60g suits most people for both typing and gaming, and above 60g is deliberate and firm - popular with heavy-handed typists who want to avoid mistakes.

The key registers after 2mm and bottoms out at 4mm of total travel.

A shorter actuation distance means the keypress is picked up sooner, which is why speed switches shorten it for gaming. A longer one gives you more room to rest your fingers on the keys without triggering them.

Yes - these come lubed from the factory, so they feel smooth straight out of the packet.

Factory lube reduces the slight scratchiness of a bare switch and quietens spring ping. You can still hand-lube them if you want the absolute smoothest result, but for most people they are ready to fit as they are.

These are 5-pin (PCB mount) switches.

It has five pins: two metal contact pins, a central plastic post and two extra plastic legs. Those extra legs locate the switch firmly on a PCB-mounted board. If your keyboard only has three holes per switch, you can clip the two outer plastic legs off with flush cutters and it will fit any 3-pin board.

This listing is sold in packs of 10 pieces, 30 pieces, 70 pieces, 90 pieces, 110 pieces.

As a guide: a 60% keyboard needs about 61-68 switches, a TKL about 87, and a full-size board about 104. It is worth ordering a few spare in case one is faulty or you lose one during the build. If you only want to try the feel before committing, buy a single switch first.
