Worn-off letters are one of the most common reasons people replace a keyboard that otherwise works fine. A £0.99 sheet of stickers fixes that in about ten minutes. Until now we've sold our own UK stickers in black. Today we're adding two new versions: silver with black lettering and clear with white lettering.
Which colour should you choose?
Match the sticker to the colour of your keys. That's what makes the repair hard to spot.
- Silver keys or a light-coloured keyboard: choose silver. The silver background blends into the key, and the bold black lettering stays easy to read.
- Black or dark grey keys: choose clear. The background is transparent, so the original colour of your keys shows through and only the white letters stand out.
- Want a solid, even look on dark keys: choose black. Our original black stickers cover the old markings completely.

What's on the sheet
Each sheet covers the main typing area of a UK English keyboard: all 26 letters, the number row with its symbols (including £ above the 3 and € on the 4), and the punctuation keys. The layout follows the standard UK Windows arrangement, so the " sits above the 2 and the @ shares a key with the apostrophe. If you're relabelling a keyboard bought abroad, such as a German QWERTZ or a US layout, the stickers show you where the UK characters now are.
Both new versions are made from PVC vinyl and can be peeled off later without leaving sticky residue.
Will they fit my keys?
At 12.5mm x 11mm, the stickers are sized to sit inside the flat top of most laptop and desktop keys with a small border around them. If your keys are unusually small, measure the flat top surface of one key before ordering. The sticker needs to be no bigger than that area to lie flat.
How to fit them so they last
- Clean the keys. Wipe each key top with a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth to remove skin oil, then let it dry. Stickers lift early on greasy keys more than anything else.
- Lift each sticker by its edge. A fingernail or a pair of tweezers works well. Try not to touch the sticky side.
- Line it up before pressing. Hover the sticker over the key, square it to the edges, then set it down.
- Press from the middle outwards. This pushes out any trapped air and seals the edges.
- Work one row at a time and check each key against the sheet as you go. It's easy to swap two punctuation keys by accident.
If a sticker goes on crooked, peel it straight off and reposition it while the adhesive is fresh.
Stickers or new keycaps?
